The County Collector collects taxes for the county and collects municipal, county, school, library and improvement district taxes and turns the funds over to the County Treasurer for disbursement.
Tax books open March 1st and are payable by October 10th of each year. Tax payments must be post marked by October 10th to avoid penalties being applied.
